White Sox Sign Useless Utility Infielder to a $3.25 Million Contract

Chicago, IL – The Chicago White Sox have signed useless utility infielder, Leroy Garcia, to a $3.25 million dollar contract. When we asked Kenny Williams about the signing he said, “Leroy is exactly the kind of player we want. His skill set reminds me of White Sox great, Ozzie Guillen, only he could hit and field better. He has an awesome name, Leroy. If you look at his hitting stats you know he has never stolen any signs.”

Williams, informed us that we should watch the Leroy Jenkins video on youtube. He was kind to provide us with the following link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LkCNJRfSZBU to support the clubs decision. Wiliams, gave this evidence that Garcia is worth 3.25 million, a 3.25 million team option next year, and will carry a $250,000 buyout.

We at the sports desk of DogFacePonia believe It is a questionable move when you look at what better players in the market got. Former All-Star and 2 time World Series Champion Brook Holt only got 2.5 Million.

Meanwhile, the Tigers signed Johnathan Schoop to their roster. Schoop, who hit twenty-three home runs in 2019, signed the deal for $6.1 million.

In related irony; twenty-three home runs turns out to be the same number Garcia hit in his entire career. Go Sox!
