President Donald Trump announces that Kansas Rep. Steve Watkins would be awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom. The Presidential Medal of Freedom is an award bestowed by the president of the United States to recognize people who have made “an especially meritorious contribution to the security or national interests of the United States, world peace, cultural or other significant public or private endeavors”. Watkins is receiving this award for his efforts in exposing the possibility of fraud with mail voting. Trump was quoted as saying, “He deserves it. He took one for the team”.
Trump refused to comment on rumors of apardon for Watkins. Democrats are already planing to impeach Trump if he pardons Watkins.
