We at DogFacePonia noticed something. Every single fast food restaurant has now created a chicken sandwich. Who is in this Game? McDonalds, Burger King, Taco Bell (I know seriously), KFC, and most famously Popeyes. Certainly there are more but these are the big names.
Why are they doing this? There may be economic reasons behind this, Beef prices are going up fast in the past couple of years and it has accelerated more in 2020 and 2021. Some might say chicken prices are not nearly as bad. They figure they can sell us a chicken sandwich at the same price as a burger. Clever but the real reasons are much darker.
So what do these sandwich’s taste like any ways
- McDonalds – Tastes like the worst part of generic capitalism
- KFC – Tastes like they took their original recipe chicken which the Colonel himself said he hated before he died and made it into a sandwich. Better than McDonalds sure at least they kind of know something about chicken, I guess.
- Taco Bell – How does Taco Bell have a chicken Sandwich? We have no idea either. They take some KFC rejected meat (as they have the same parent company) and throw it in a pita like thing. They call it a Crispy Chicken Sandwich Taco. This is the truth – you can’t make this up. The good news is it is the cheapest sandwich at $1.49. The bad news that is it is still way too much. Though the dogs did like it.
- Popeyes – The chicken sandwich is apparently to die for and some one did. There should have been a warning like for drugs. Is there a chance of sexual side affects? Word is the Popeyes sandwich is good especially when compared to the above sandwiches but I am not willing to be almost murdered like AOC to get one.
- Burger King – is like a bad version of Popeyes. The king of burgers is not the king of chicken sandwiches. Let’s face it the burgers aren’t great either.
So why all the fuss? We started thinking that it must be climate change and AOC was after the cows again. However, we did read that the dairy industry is gonna put masks on the cows face and rump to collect the gases and use it to become carbon neutral. Don’t laugh too much, why do you think they are conditioning people to wear masks.
Still none of this is the real reason. The real reason is Chick-Fil-A. After years of trying to convince people that Chick-Fil-A hated gay people (they don’t) and various other attacks. Chick-Fil-A is expanding and doing better than ever despite their attempts to stop them. Even Democrats like to eat there. It is just too good and the people are so nice. An evil plan was hatched and all these fast food places where mandated to make a chicken sandwich. They are going to try to oust Chick-Fil-A or at least cut deep into it’s business.
We at DogFacePonia plan to go to Chick-Fil-A more now that we have this knowledge. However, we might still get our dog food at Taco Bell.
Note – There have been shortages in Chick-Fil-A sauce. Some are suggesting it will cure Covid or at least be as effective as Remdesivir. Also be advised not to eat chicken if you are allergic to chicken.
